congratulations and great work

I was teaching my first once a month at Hobby Sew Fig Tree last wednesday and a past student had athe most wonderful news to share.
Dale Robson has has some wonderful sucess with a quilt she made for the Brother challenge. A small textural art quilt "The cradle of Life" won her 2 nd place. YIppee..... It is also selected for hanging at  AQC and will also be at Sydneys guild quilt show in July. I only had a photo to see the quilt , you can also view the photo at the shop near the machines.  There is so much going on tiny native animals, textured tree roots, 3 dimensional leaves and painted background.STUNNING...
I do remember teaching Dale , she was struggling on a difficult old  machine when she did my Lets Quilt classes. Dale went off and purchased a Bernina and since then hasn't looked back.. Dale also did a Caroline Sharkey class, and with skills she has learnt has developed her own style of quilts. CONGRATULATIONS Dale ... I cant wait to see the quilt in the flesh.

The new class at Hobby Sew figtree was delightful , lovely ladies all so eager to learn and make terrific quilts. We will have a great year together I can feel it.

On Saturday at Pegs Pieces Kirrawee Julie has completed her hearts and lollipops quilt. She worked really hard on the applique and Julie it looks terrific, well done ... now whats next  for you ???

I have a group of friends come to Pegs in the afternoon to learn free motion quilting. Look at the hand made gloves , terrific.... rubber non slip matting on the base and cotton interlock with ribbing on the top. So air can get through the glove .. Just love it ....

Meroo retreat away this weekend for the Quilters of the Hawksburry, looking forward to it so much . Its always a wonderful event and great to see lots of friends from interstate.
Thanks for listening
Happy Quilting
