Class beauties

I have just finished my last Sydney regular classes this week. Wow.... The work that has been done during the year I have to say I am thrilled with. Thankyou to everyone who attended these classes and to the shop owners for their on going support.
Here is just   a sample of some of the quilts that have been produced lately. Firstly from pegs pieces Tuesday class,
This is Denise's latest. Denise is a relatively newby quilter and is so enthusiastic . This lovely quilt has a free motion appliquéd border,  strip dresdon plates blind hem appliquéd on to the black . Just some flowers and leaves to be appliquéd in the corner of the blocks to fill the black void areas then Denise will quilt her latest quilt herself. Fantastic Denise , always a pleasure to have you in class, you are so dedicated to your art which is sensational. These fabrics are all from her stash as well.
Tumbler sampler by Sandra, who is quilting beautifully. This will ebbs stunning quilt a terrific sampler of quilting for your future reference. Great job Sandra , thank you also for the fresh home grown veggies and rhubarb it was delicious.
Hearts and lollipops by Marcia. Marcia had a shoulder operation mid year and we have missed you. Only recently she has been able to stitch again and visited the class with her show and tell. So pretty thank you .

This is Christine's  Baltimore from hobby sew Friday class. Christine has worked so hard appliqué in gall year on her Baltimore with Sensational results. I adore the brave choice of dark olive green background fabric, it work sensationally with the brights of the flowers , they literally shimmer ....and a Bali pink peeper then it will have self coloured small sashes . Now on to the border. Fantastic.....
This daisy quilt is by Leanne. We extended the centre panel and re designed the appliqué. Look at the outer coloured border Leanne found to compliment the Daisy's beautifully. This has been made while a stunning Baltimore below has also kept Leanne occupied.
So pretty and feminine , sensational ! just such a pleasure to work with you .
Wendy's daisy quilt was started  in 2011 and now just about finished, this was after her SENSATIONAL. Baltimore fully appliquéd and quilted in 18 months.
And now Wendy is playing free form piecing in class.
Thank you Wendy love your spirit, commitment and gratefully your sence of humor. !!!!!
Terrific work indeed.... You keep me on my toes..     :)
Next is Jenny, she came to class with a huge bag  of Bali brights and wanted to make a quilt inspired by my last nights left overs dresdon cut up quilt.
Sure we can organise something there.
Strip dresdons made 4 more to do and then a verigated bias vine randomly attached with leaves and flowers to be free motion appliquéd on. More photos next year . This I know is going to be spectacular....

The next two are from lovely ladies new to quilting and full of excitement.

Another stunning daisy centre from Namrata so thrilled for you. The grey is a wonderful accent here.
this beauty is from Pradaya she has out done herself. Heart detail inside the lollipops and inside the hearts. I am honoured to encourage and guide you both through your new quilting experience. Looking forward to seeing you develope your machine quilting skills in 2014 ladies.

I finished the year in Tasmania with Robyn from Sewknit . We held the workshops at Deloraine. In the community halls . The room I had was massive...
A table for each student luckily as there were 21 eager ladies. I love returning to locations to see the progress you have all made and it's so nice to catch up with my quilting friends. I so enjoy your company.
I'll return 1-4 December 2014.  And I look forward to it . Happy quilting girls.....
